Erika is doing fantastic right now. Although, she did get pneumonia sometime Wednesday and she is still fighting that. She's been getting fevers and breaking it about every time 4-5 hours. The good news is that she's finally able to get up on her own and walk to the bathroom without assistance. The doctors were finally able to control the pain level she was experiencing. To give you an idea of the pain level she was in, using a scale of 1 - 10 (1 being slight ache and 10 being extreme severe pain), since Sunday night, Erika was between 7 - 10. She's currently at a 4 sitting and standing and walking to the bathroom 7 (these are super duper great numbers but can be better). She's about to take a little walk in the hallway to keep her body moving.
I will post a Q and A shortly for the most commonly asked questions (where is she, can she have visitors, etc.) within the next hour. Thanks all again for the support.

ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear that the doctors are able to manage your pain. I'm sure the pain can wear you out mentally and physically. It's also good to see that you are able to get up and move about a little.
